So, are we aloud to freely join and leave villages as we please, or once we leave our villages, we're basically doomed to live a life of wandering boredom?

Of course, I believe we should be allowed to choose our personal relationships with villages, maybe have a joining fee, so that we don't do it often. Perhaps it could be higher based on your previous village's relationship with the village you're joining.

Well just because you leave one village without saying your goodbyes doesn't mean you can't join a new one.

if you cant do that have fun hiding with a bounty on your head being chased by different groups of ninjas from various village

I guess that's the penalty for not thinking it through.

Maybe if you were lucky enough you could leave the village and join another one without anyone finding out until its too late

Would probably pay off to be as inconspicuous as possible as well, no one looks for average people XD

I think that if u wanna be a missing Nin, then instead of walking out of the gate without asking = missing nin.

What i think should happen is in each village there is a "Shady Character" and you talk to him about becoming a missing Nin, then u do a mission for him (like when naruto stole the Forbidden Jutsu scroll) and you Leave with that guy, Who then Abandons you when you get attacked by

I like Demonik's idea.Also to join a village after going missing I think you should complete some sort of mission for the kage to prove that you are trustworthy.
